Discerning the needs in the community and enabling disciples to address them
in the name of Jesus Christ
Here are some of the ongoing ways we believe God is calling us to meet the needs of our neighbors:
On the first Saturday of every month we gather in our Fellowship Hall with our neighbors to share breakfast and to distribute food boxes to folks who need them as part of the Seven Loaves Food Pantry. When we gather at the table we experience the presence of Christ in each person and are able to share our lives in meaningful ways. We start cooking at 7:00 and eating at 8:00, and we welcome anyone who'd like to be with us! You are also always welcome to donate non-perishable food items for food boxes. A list of current needs can be found here
We support Reelfoot Rural Ministries, one of the mission projects of the Memphis Conference of the United Methodist Church. Whether we're collecting clothes and furniture to donate, or collecting toys for the Christmas Store, we do all we can to share their ministry as part of the body of Christ.
Every year our congregation looks forward to the Medina Angel Tree Ministry when we get to shop for kids in the community who might not otherwise have many Christmas gifts. We welcome you to join us in spreading the joy of Christmas!
We also have a clothing closet and personal hygiene closet that we use to serve those in our community!
