Touching Lives For Christ

Wade Cox

We welcome Reverend Wade Cox as its newly appointed lead pastor!

Wade, his wife, Susan, and their children, Davis and Brooke, are thrilled God has led them to the growing community of Medina.  A graduate of Ole Miss, Wade earned a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary.  He has served churches in the Millington area and most recently in Dyersburg.

Wade is a very devoted husband and father and cherishes his time with his family.  He is an avid bicyclist and loves to travel.  As a first time homeowner, he has taken an interest in yard work and occasionally enjoys a round of golf or a day of fishing.

Seeking out ways to grow in his faith and ministry has led Wade recently to St. Meinred Monastery in Indiana, the Billy Graham Training Center in North Carolina, and the School of Congregational Development in Kansas.  Wade is a member of the Lakeshore Methodist Assembly Board of Directors and serves on several committees within the Memphis Conference.

Building relationships, caring for God’s people, sharing His word, and connecting people to Christ are the cornerstones of Wade’s ministry.  He believes in helping each person in the church find a place to connect and a place to serve.  A rich blessing in pastoring God’s people is seeing their lives changed by Christ!

Wade strives to live by the words of his favorite Bible passage, Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”  He looks forward to all God will accomplish through the people of this congregation!

Reverend Wade Cox and the members of Medina First United Methodist Church invite you to join us as we seek to follow God in building His kingdom in Medina and beyond!
