Confirmation |

Confirmation is a special time in a young person’s life when , with intentional commitment, he or she responds to God’s grace by reaffirming their baptismal vows before their church family.
Most confirmands are youth between the ages of 11 and 14 who were baptized as infants and have been nurtured in their churches. However, some confirmands have never been baptized and still others attend the Medina First United Methodist Church but their membership is in another denomination. For these young Christians, confirmation class is an excellent way to learn the meaning of Christian faith; the history and doctrine of the United Methodist Church; and to obtain an understanding of the vows of baptism and membership within their local church that they will be professing during their confirmation.
Going through confirmation class does not obligate a child to make any commitment. Confirmation is a very personal experience and no pressure will ever be placed on any child.
