We believe that children are particularly special to God,
and so they are particularly special to us.
Children's Sunday School meets at 9:30am in the Children's Wing of the church. You'll find a sign outside of each classroom door that will help you find the right class for your child, and you'll be greeted warmly by a teacher with a heart for God's children. Each of our teachers has been trained in our Safe Sanctuaries policy, which is our guideline for keeping children safe while they are in our care.
Children's Church is a ministry specifically for families with children ages 3 through 1st grade. After the Children's Moment in each service, children are invited to go with the Children's Church leader to the children's wing for a special lesson created just for them to learn about God's love and care for them! Parents can pick up their children in the Children's Wing at the conclusion of the worship service.
We use a Rotation model on Wednesday nights, so each child gets to experience the bible story we are studying in several different ways--crafts, listening to the story, games, and music! Parents should sign their children in to their classrooms at 6:00pm and sign them out of their classrooms at 7:15.
Our nursery is available for babies through age 2 during both worship services, Sunday School, and on Wednesday nights. If you are attending a bible study or meeting at a different time and need childcare, we'd be happy to provide it. Just contact the church office at 783-3230.
Confirmation is a special, set-apart time sixth graders who are considering taking vows of church membership at Medina FUMC. We spend a semester learning about our faith, about United Methodism, and about our responsibilities as Christ's disciples. If you have a child in sixth grade and would like more information about confirmation, please contact Pastor Mary Beth at the church office (731-283-2320).
