Wade Cox

Pastor

Reverend Wade Cox has served as head pastor of Medina FUMC since 2007. Wade, his wife Susan, and their children, Davis and Brooke, love being a part of the growing Medina community.

A graduate of Ole Miss, Wade earned a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary. Wade began his journey in ministry as a director of youth ministries in 1991. Following seminary, Wade was ordained an elder in the United Methodist Church. He has previously served churches in the Millington area and in Dyersburg.

Wade is a very devoted husband and father and cherishes his time with his family. An avid bicyclist, Wade enjoys riding the beautiful country roads surrounding Medina. He also enjoys traveling with his family.

Wade is a member of the Lakeshore Methodist Assembly Board of Directors and serves on several committees within the Memphis Conference. Building relationships, caring for God's people, sharing His word, and connecting people to Christ are the cornerstones of Wade?s ministry. He believes in helping each person in the church find a place to connect and a place to serve. A rich blessing in pastoring is seeing lives changed by Christ! Wade strives to live by the words of his favorite Bible passage, Proverbs 3:5-6, ?Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.
